What Are All-Stars?
All-Stars is a competitive postseason program made up of players selected from regular season
teams within each division. These teams represent their local league in district, state, regional,
and potentially World Series play.

o Does NOT advance to a World Series
 9-11 Year-Old division

Player Eligibility
To be eligible for AllStars, players must:
 Meet the Little League age requirements for their division
 Have participated in the required number of regular season games (8)
Be in good standing with their team and league
 Demonstrate strong sportsmanship, teamwork, and commitment
Leagues may also consider attitude, coachability, and overall contribution to the team—not just
athletic ability.

How Players Are Selected
Players will be selected from the pool of players who sign up to participate in All-Stars. All Star
interest forms are sent out in April or May to gauge level of interest.
Selection processes typically includes:
 Coach evaluations from the regular season
 Board approved selection procedures
 Consideration of player performance, effort, and sportsmanship
The goal is to form a team(s) that represents the league with pride, competitiveness, and
integrity.

Family Commitment & Expectations
All Stars is a rewarding experience, but it also requires a higher level of commitment than the
regular season. Most years, that commitment will not go beyond the District tournament in
mid-June. However potential always exists for talented teams to advance beyond and that will
extend the level of commitment. Families should expect:
 Frequent practices, often several times per week starting in early June following team
formation.
 Tournament play that may include travel if advancing beyond the district tournament
 Uniform costs:
 Tournament fee: N/A, generously paid for with league funds.
 Travel costs: not applicable to the district tournament. May include overnight travel for
teams advancing to the state tournament and Regional Tournament. Little League
International covers all costs for teams advancing to the World Series.
The experience is fun and memorable, but it does require dedication from both players and
families.
