Welcome to the home of Lake Oswego Girls Softball Little League

LO Girls Softball Little League Board of Directors will officially cancel the 2020 Spring Softball Season and refunds will be issued to all families.

Dear LO Softball Families,
After great deliberation and analysis of the current situation, the LO Girls Softball Little League Board of Directors will officially cancel the 2020 Spring Softball Season. This decision was not made lightly. The Board fully appreciates the effort and support of our sponsors, coaches and parent volunteers to prepare for this season and we understand the disappointment this creates for our young players. Unfortunately, this decision had to be made due to the uncertainty around social distancing restrictions, field availability and competition from other leagues within District 4.

Refund & Donation Options:

  • Refund: For those who haven't already received one, the league will issue refunds to every participant as follows: 85% of registration fees (varies by level) plus 100% of field usage fees ($25 per player). LOGSLL has reviewed our finances and are refunding the fees that have not already been allocated toward 2020 operational costs. Refunds will be processed by SportsEngine based on your original payment method. Due to the current situation, this process may take up to 4 weeks. We ask for your patience during this refund window.
  • Donation: LO Girls Softball Little League is a non-profit organization. If you would rather donate your registration fees to the league, please email no later than Monday, May 18th @ 7pm with the subject line "Registration fee donation." This will be a tax-deductible donation and we greatly appreciate all contributions. We will send you a letter noting that no goods or services were provided for your financial contribution.

Next steps for this summer:
LOGSLL still holds out hope that social distancing restrictions will lift this summer and we are determined to provide the girls with the joy of softball if possible. Instead of abandoning the entire season, LOGSLL will look to create opportunities for a “development summer” for the girls to get on the field, practice the game and partake in “sandlot” style softball games.

Once we have a better grasp on social gathering restrictions, and are able to confirm community field usage, we'll determine a format for softball activities, clinics, and scrimmages. LOGSLL will distribute more information once we fully understand the restrictions in which we can safely operate and develop a structure to facilitate play. We intend to provide this at no additional cost and these opportunities will be available only to those players that registered for the Spring 2020 season.

In addition, we will be posting individual learning opportunities on our website. Kalin Rooney is a LOGSLL pitching coach ( who can provide 1:1 pitching lessons in a safe, socially-distanced structure. Please email her for more information.

Thank you for your continued support of LOGSLL. We share your disappointment that we cannot have a full season, but we hope that the conditions allow us to get our girls back on the fields soon!

  • Player equipment requirements: glove, bat, batting helmet, Rip-It (face mask), rubber cleats and navy softball pants; batting gloves (optional); jersey and Columbia blue socks will be provided
